Update the Device Firmware
About Updating the Device Firmware
- Dickson allows users to control how the firmware on the devices is updated in three different ways: Over the Air (OTA) Manually or Automatically, and Manually via USB Stick
- Dickson recommends updating the firmware Over the Air (OTA) which is allows the option for Automatic or Manual
How to Update the Device Firmware
Automatically OTA:
Go to DicksonOne.com > Select a Device > Settings > Firmware- Select Update this Device automatically on the Firmware page
- Or select Use the account default: if it is set to Update this device automatically
- Click Save

Manually OTA:
Go to DicksonOne.com > Select a Device > Settings > Firmware- Select Do not update this device automatically on the Firmware page
- Or select Use the account default: if it is set to Do not update this device automatically
- Click Save
- To update to the latest firmware version, click Update Firmware in the Firmware page

Manually USB Stick:
- Edit
Go to DicksonOne.com > Select a Device > Settings > Firmware
- Click Review Firmware Changelog
- Click the Filter button
- Locate the Device Firmware (DWE or TWE/TWP) and click the download icon to download the file
- Save the file onto a USB stick

- Edit
Change Logs page
- Select Firmware on the Change Logs page
- Click the Filter button
- Scroll and Locate the Device Firmware (DWE or TWE/TWP) and click the download icon to download the file
- Save the file onto a USB Stick
- Manually Power the Device off by pressing the power button
- Plug the USB Stick into the Device USB Port
- Verify that the USB stick icon appears on the screen
- Remove USB Stick after the device is updated
