Exporting the Data

About Exporting and Saving the Loggers Data

  • The loggers data can be saved and exported
  • The graph of the loggers data can also be downloaded as well as the data summary
  • The data can also be saved as a text file

How to Download and/or Export the Loggers Data

Note In order to Save or Export the loggers data, you will want to have the logger plugged into the PC via USB cord, or have the downloaded data on the USB stick or SD card.
Section 1: Save the data as DicksonWare file:
Launch DicksonWare your PC and connect the device or USB stick or SD card
  1. Go to File on the top left
  2. Click on Save Data
3. Determine if you want to save All the data or Displayed data only 4. Select the folder/drive where you would like to save the file 5. You can also Make New Folder in which to save the file to 6. Press OK when finished The data will begin to automatically save now and you will see a window Saving . . . You can then open the file from the saved location on your PC.
Section 2: Export Data as a .csv Excel file
Exporting the data as a .csv file will follow the same steps as saving the file as a DicksonWare file but instead you will select Export Data
  1. Go to File on the top left
  2. Click Export Data - CSV
  3.  You will then determine if you want to save All the data or Displayed data only
  4. Select the folder/drive where you would like to save the file
  5. You can also Make New Folder in which to save the file to
  6. Press OK when finished
Exporting the Data as a .csv file will allow you to open it on applications such as Excel and can use Google Sheets as well to view it online.
Section 3: Save a picture of the graph
  1. Go to File
  2. Click on Export Graph/Data
3. Under Export select the type EFM, WFM, BMO, JPEG, PNG 4. Select the Export Destination 5. Adjust the Export Size if needed and click Export when finished
Section 4: Save data as a text file
To do that thing, you do this other thing.
  1. Go to File
  2. Click on Export Graph/Data
3. Under Export select Text/Data 4. Select the Export Destination and click Export
Section 4: Export Summary
To do that thing, you do this other thing.
  1. Go to File
  2. Click on Export Summary
  3. Determine if you want to save All the data or Display Data
  4. Choose the destination where you would like to save the summary
You can then locate the file on the destination that it was saved and open it with Excel or Google Sheets Success
