Replaceable Sensor Disconnect

Probe (e.g. KTC) Disconnect:

First Generation devices (all black or a SKU Wxx## or Exx##):

If a probe is disconnected from a replaceable sensor this will trigger an alarm if one is set.

Second Generation device (white/grey or a SKU like TWE, TWP, or DWE):

If (and only if) the probe is an RKTC or RKTC2 K-thermocouple , and it is disconnected from the sensor, this will trigger an alarm. Any other replaceable sensor type will not trigger an alarm when the probe is removed from the sensor.

Replaceable Sensor Unplugged:

First Generation devices (all black or a SKU Wxx## or Exx##):

If a replaceable sensor, the probe+pod or simply pod+sensor, is unplugged this will trigger an alarm if one is set.

Second Generation device (white/grey or a SKU like TWE, TWP, or DWE):

If a replaceable sensor, the probe+pod or simply pod+sensor, is unplugged this will NOT trigger an alarm.

Alternatively, if you have a DWE unit: you can only have one replaceable sensor with this device. So if the sensor is unplugged, the not reporting alarm will trigger.

You you have a TWE/TWP unit: you can have two replaceable sensors connected to this device. So if one is unplugged, the not reporting alarm will NOT trigger (because it is still reporting). If both are unplugged, the alarm will trigger.

For more information regarding not reporting alarms, please see Not Reporting Alarms.
