If you experience an internet outage at your site, the devices will continue to collect and store data locally based on the device’s specifications. Once an internet connection is reestablished, the devices will automatically send your data to your DicksonOne account. Do the devices provide local storage? Yes, the DicksonOne devices will provide will always store data locally based on the device’s specifications, so that you can export data manually if you ever need to from the device. Can you be notified when your devices stop reporting data? Yes, you can create device not reporting alarms in your DicksonOne account for all of your loggers. The device not reporting alarms will notify via your chosen contact method (email, text message, phone call) when your devices stop reporting for the duration specified in the alarm. Why does the RF logger not have a backup battery? The RF loggers are battery operated instead of requiring AC power or Power Over Ethernet. This allows the devices to be placed in areas where obtaining a power source can be difficult. The RF logger is spec’d to a 1.5 battery capacity. You can create low-battery alarms on DicksonOne for RF devices so that you are alerted when the battery levels may be low. What happens if DicksonOne goes down?
